We decided to travel to Eagle Pass Texas from southwest New Mexico for the total solar eclipse and stay in a hotel in the centerline of totality.  We found a spot in the parking lot behind a 40 foot cargo container that was being used for a crew remodeling rooms. The weather was not looking good with clouds filling the skies.  However, there were just enough breaks in the clouds to see the 4 minutes and 22 seconds of the eclipse. Then a thick cloud layer floated over and blocked the moon's uncovering of the sun.  We were able to take some images through the clouds and here are some of them below.  The weather forecast was for rain and thunderclouds.  So we were grateful it worked out well.
